Category D1& D1 Automatic

This a minbus which has up to 17 seats including the driver seat. This category is usually recommended to people who are under 21 and want an unrestricted D1 category which means they can drive this type of vehicle is more than 50km from base on a single journey.

This is also useful for people who want to get on the transport ladder or are interesed in driving ambulances. The process of getting a minibus licence is exactly the same as getting a bus or coach licence i.e the same medical and application form for the provisional licence has to be completed. The same theory test also has to be passed.
